Medical Billing Associate

Responsibilities:

• Familiarity with billing software, and how to access data, insurance company information and how to read account status etc., RXNT exposure preferred.
• Appropriately following up on reporting results; researching unpaid claims with insurance companies and fixing/rebilling them as necessary
• Assisting with posting insurance and patient payments
• Pursuing unpaid accounts through research, communication and monitoring
• Ongoing learning of CPT codes, EOBs, denial codes, allowed and disallowed amounts, etc. to increase billing knowledge and skill
• All team members are responsible for full cycle billing from overseeing claims being billed out, paid and posted, worked if denied and sent to patients if necessary on a daily basis.

Requirements and Skills:

• Excellent and timely communication skills via email and phone while working in another time zone
• Confidence in effectively communicating with insurance claim representatives using billing jargon and knowledge
• Self-sufficiency, the ability to multitask and great problem-solving and organizational skills
• Willingness to be flexible and take on new tasks and projects when they come up
• Office/Teams experience and good understanding of numerical data and how to work with Excel
• Mid-high level experience in medical billing and the U.S. insurance industry for at least 1 year
• Experience in Charge Posting  of at least at 1 year
• Radiology specific knowledge preferred
• College education is preferred but not necessary
• HIPAA and PHI compliance
